Requirements for admission training and certification program at KAMITH include being age 16 and up and low income. Low income requirements are met by qualifications of unemployment and underemployment and are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Admissions are conducted throughout the year. Those applicants who apply during the course of class training will be given first consideration to be enrolled in the next course. Please refer to individual course requirements. No person shall be excluded from admissions, denied any benefits or subjected to any form of discrimination because of sex, age, creed, religion, national origin, or physical handicap.
Counselors are available to guide students, provide and help students understand options available, clarify goals, and helping to achieve academic plan and goals. Counseling service is free to students.
KAMITH has several testing and placement applications to help students identify their strengths and prepare for their academic experience. Post program completion evaluation software enables students to access their skills and work readiness to enter the job market.
Every graduating student should have achieved a pass grade of 'C' or above, calculated from percentage scores obtained in tests conducted at regular intervals, home assignments and a final examination. (This is in addition to the mandatory percentage attendance). Students falling below the 'C' grade are deemed to fail the course and will need to repeat the class.
KAMITH believes in self-discipline and Christian courtesy as necessary to promote good social relationships and learning in an academic environment. While we may not be able to spell out a detailed "dos" and "don'ts", KAMITH wishes to encourage its students to respect the principles of decent and appropriate conduct at all times, and to eschew behavior that does not conduce to an intellectual pursuit. Any student observed violating the following rules shall be subject to immediate suspension or dismissal. There shall be no: Use of illegal drugs. Use of derogatory language, threatening language, or abusive verbiage. Physical threats or violence. Violation of the school polices or procedures. Unauthorized use of school facilities.
